We are now also on YouTube

22. Nov, 2018

The Latvian Lutheran Association of Women Theologians has created its own YouTube channel in order to publish its video materials and share them with its supporters around the world, as well as to educate the public about its work and to tell the stories of women in the history of Christianity and in the church.

We invite you to view the 2 video materials currently posted on YouTube.com:

1. A video summary of the 02.10.2018 conference “Woman in the Church and Society.”

2. A lecture by US Church history professor Kathryn Louise Johnson at the 02.10.2018 conference “Woman in the Church and Society” (in English).

On 20 November this year, LTV1 broadcast a 13-minute film about two members of the Latvian Lutheran Association of Women Theologians – bishop emerita Jāna Jēruma-Grīnberga, who currently serves as chaplain at St. Saviour’s Anglican Church in Riga, and the dean of the Faculty of Theology of the University of Latvia, professor of the New Testament and pastor Dace Balode.

We invite you to watch this short film on REPLAY.LV

As reported earlier,  LLSTA is working on a documentary film “The Darkest Is the Moment Before Sunrise!” This project is still in the making, and its outcome will be a documentary story about women pastors in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Latvia. The film is being made by professor and pastor Dace Balode and the project manager of the UL Faculty of Theology, director Kristīne Briede. LTV1 showed part of this documentary story.
