As we await the coming of Christ, let us recall the words of the prophet Isaiah, which Jesus Christ, at the beginning of his ministry, proclaimed as his plan of work.
May these prophetic words not fade from our hearts! It is the mandate of the Trinity to each and every one whom God has called to follow Christ:
"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me! For the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the oppressed,
he has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and release to those who are in chains,
to proclaim the year of the Lord's favour and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn - to turn to those who mourn in Zion, to give them ornaments instead of ashes
and the oil of gladness instead of mourning, a mantle of praise instead of a weary spirit, that they may be called oaks of righteousness,
the planting of the Lord, that they may be glorious!
They shall build up the ancient ruins, they shall raise up again what was thrown down before, they shall renew the devastated cities, the ruins of many generations!" / Isa.61:1-4/
