The aim of the conference is to bring together people with differing views on women’s ordination, to encourage an exchange of ideas and to reflect on possibilities for continuing the dialogue on this topic. Invited: representatives of LELB, representatives of LELBāL, LLISTA, the Faculty of Theology of the University of Latvia, the Luther Academy, pastors, evangelists, members of congregations. The conference will take place on 6 May, from 11:00 to 16:00 at the Liepāja Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church, K. Valdemāra iela 7, Liepāja.

12.00 – the biblical rationale for why women can be pastors (Faculty of Theology
dean Dr. Dace Balode)
12.20 – the biblical rationale for why only men can be pastors (Luther
Academy, requested)
12.40 – work in groups on the prepared theses (three x 20 min.)
13.40 – lunch break
14.10 – group presentations
14.50 – proposals on how to continue the dialogue
15.10 – drafting and adoption of a joint resolution
16.00 – closing
