A new archbishop for LELBĀL – Lauma Zušēvica

 LELBĀL (the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Latvia Abroad) has elected Lauma Zušēvica as its new bishop. Further information about the election results and the consecration will follow.

‌The LELBA family warmly congratulates the new bishop Lauma and her family at the beginning of this blessed path chosen by God!

‌LELBĀL’s rules of operation provide that the Church’s bishop is elected for seven years. The Church Administration then grants him/her the title of archbishop. The installation of the successor into office could take place by 1 May 2015.
