At its 31 March session, the 8th Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Latvia, held on 29-31 March 1932, adopted under item 22 of the agenda, by 201 votes “for” and 87 votes “against”, the decision: “The Synod authorises the Church Administration to permit women theologians to speak in church from the lectern.”
