On April 27, 2025, at Riga Luther Church, the consecration service of Kārlis Žols, archbishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Latvia Abroad, took place. The service was attended by bishops from the churches of the Lutheran World Federation (LWF) and the Porvoo Communion, as well as many LELBP clergy, members of the Consistory, representatives of local churches and members of congregations.
