It is with great joy that we announce that on Sunday, 27 October, the president of the Latvian Lutheran Women Theologians’ Association, Rudīte Losāne, will be ordained as a pastor.
The ordination service will be led by the archbishop of the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church Abroad (LELBāL), Lauma Zušēvica.
Rudīte Losāne’s induction into the office of pastor will take place as part of the conference “Lutheran Spirituality Today” (information about the conference here).
The ordination service on 27 October will take place in the LELBāL Cīrava autonomous Evangelical Lutheran congregation (194 km from Riga). After the service, a social gathering with a meal is planned at the Cīrava cultural centre. Transport to Cīrava and back will be provided. Departure from the Anglican Church at 9.30, return to Riga around 21.00.
Conference attendees have the opportunity to travel to the ordination service on the bus arranged by the LLSTA from Riga.
