At the end of 2013, the Lutheran World Federation developed a Gender Justice Policy document, which we wrote about on 15 January 2014.
The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Latvia Abroad has translated the said document into Latvian. And now everyone who reads Latvian has the opportunity to become acquainted with this important document on our website as well.

We call on those churches that do not ordain women to reflect, with a prayer-filled attitude, on such an avoidance and its impact in this matter on those who are not allowed to fulfil their God-given calling because these people are women. The pain of such exclusion, of losing God-given gifts, is experienced by the whole church.
