On 21 January 2018, the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (LELBA) ordained Dr. Aiva Rozenberga-Drummond as a pastor in the LELBA Eastern District.
The ordination of Pastor Dr. Aiva Rozenberga-Drummond was assisted by Anita Vārsberga-Pāža, dean of the LELBA Eastern District. The solemn worship service in the South Florida congregation was also attended by Pastor Jogita Mazūra, Pastor Raita Nīleja, Pastor Cheryl Armstrong-Caukis, and Pastor Erin Bovendam. At the moment of the laying on of hands, the pastors were joined by Pastor Chris Bovendam, Pastor Dr. Fritz Aufdenkamp, and Deacon Abby Wents. After the service, the congregation members had prepared a lovely lunch for everyone present.
Congregation chairman Andrejs Jugs congratulated the new pastor and thanked her for the spiritual strengthening she has already provided and for the warmth with which she has begun her ministry in the congregation. The vocation for Pastor Dr. Aiva Rozenberga-Drummond is given by the LELBA Eastern District.
