Evangelist and prison chaplain, as well as the president of the Association of Lutheran Women Theologians in Latvia Mrs. Rudīte Losāne, bishop emeritus and the chaplain of the Anglican Community in Latvia Mrs. Jāna Jēruma-Grīnberga and evangelist Mrs. Agnese Kapče will represent Latvia in Wittenberg at the symbolic even that will mark the impact of the Reformation 500 on women’s ministry.
The highlight of the Women’s Festive Day or FrauenFestTag will be a photo session with 500 + ordained women from all over the world. The idea of the photo session is to demonstrate solidarity with all the women who come from the countries where women ordination is yet denied.

To celebrate the anniversary of the Reformation also means to commemorate women’s history and to help shape their future.On Saturday, August 12, 2017, women from all over the world will come together to pray, think, sing, dance and feast to celebrate the anniversary of the Reformation and being women.
